Little Squirts Drink Pouches Product Review

We’ve just received this wonderful review of the Little Squirts ‘Tiger’ Drink Pouch from Cathie and son Lucas who are two of our favourite customers.  Cathie has her own blog where she regularly, and unashamedly blogs about her son Lucas and Ash their wonderful dog.  She also regularly tweets and you can find her on Twitter @CathieB2012.

So here goes with Cathie’s review………………..

The lovely Lisa at what2buy4kids has very kindly asked me to review the Little Squirts drink pouches.

So, firstly, let’s get the technical side out of the way, and then we’ll get on with the fun part; Lucas’s thoughts!

Little Squirts Tiger Drink Pouch

  • This collapsible drinking pouch comes in really fun designs; Tiger, Puppy, Mon
  • key, Dinosaur, Butterfly, Ladybird, Giraffe and Owl. They are really colourful and look fabulous.
  • The Little Squirts are reusable, washable, foldable, attachable and freezable!
  • They are eco-friendly.
  • They have a click-on lid with pop-up top to prevent spillages.
  • Ideal to use at school, at nursery, on days out or at sports activities.
  • Approx size W11cm x H 20cm. Capacity 10oz.
  • Currently £3.99 per Little Squirt.

Lisa very kindly sent me the Tiger one, however, upon reflection, the Monkey would have been more suited to Lucas!

Lucas has certainly made use of the Little Squirt, and after convincing him that it was NOT Ash-friendly, and that Ash could not have the Puppy design for himself, I explained what we were doing and that we had to tell people whether we liked the Little Squirt.
Lucas accepted the challenge with relish! After sitting for a good five minutes, looking at the Little Squirt. He studied the front, he studied the back. He turned it over several times and he declared it “cute”. He then declared that the Tiger looked “a friendly, scary, sort of Tiger”. The problem I am now facing is that all his other cups are now labelled “boring!”
Lucas’s only complaint was that the Little Squirt didn’t hold enough juice, however, since Mummy was born to serve her little Prince, this wasn’t too much of an issue, and just remained stood at the kitchen sink for most of the afternoon refilling the drink bottle – I got a lot of Candy Crush completed that afternoon and Lucas spent a lot of time visiting the little Library!
Little Squirts Tiger Drink Pouch

Lucas has now been using the Little Squirt for nearly two weeks and halfway through he’s developed Chicken Pox, and this is where the Little Squirt has turned into a godsend.
Due to its pop up top, it was ideal for Lucas who had developed some particularly nasty spots around his mouth. By drinking from the bottle, there was no dribbling or liquid spilling over the rim, as there can be with a cup, hence the spots remained dry. The other bonus with the pop up top is that Lucas managed to keep his mouth relatively shut, (this is a miracle in itself!) whilst drinking, hence no cracking/breaking of any spots, thus allowing them to heal. I showed this to a friend whose daughter suffers from Eczema, especially around the mouth, and she confirmed that the Little Squirt would be ideal for her daughter also – hope I’ve got you a sale there, Lisa!

Lucas also sees the drinking flask as the perfect accessory when out riding his bike. The hook which is attached to the Little Squirt was clipped to the belt loop of his jeans, and off he cycled……….. stopping every ten seconds or so to un-clip the flask and take a long, cool, refreshing drink from his totally hip Little Squirt – he’s clearly earned those regular drink breaks!

As a final test, we decided to freeze Tiger to see how he would stand up. Typically, the next morning, Lucas slipped and bumped his head and I am pleased to inform that Tiger made an excellent cold compress. Hey look at that, a Tiger, which can multi task!!!!!!!!

A great alternative to Kids Drinks Bottles – don’t you agree?
